Inspired Education, the leading global group of premium schools, has announced the acquisition of the US Performance Academy (USPA), further solidifying its leadership in the online school space. This strategic acquisition complements Inspired's existing online education platforms and school communities, King’s InterHigh, King’s InterHigh USA and Academy21, and marks a significant expansion in the USA and into the elite student-athletics space.
Over the past ten years, USPA has built a successful online school that is renowned for empowering elite student-athletes to pursue their goals without sacrificing a top-tier education. The online school offers a flexible, accredited, NCAA-approved online curriculum that integrates personalized, asynchronous learning pathways and student-centric support services. These include the GOAL and BOOST programs for neurodivergent students, learning coaches, and comprehensive college readiness and counselling support, all tailored around students' competitive athletic calendars. USPA's Cognia-accredited program accommodates any sports training, travel, and competition calendar, ensuring students can learn on a schedule that supports their athletic pursuits. There is also supplemental support available for students with learning differences, with over 15% of students participating in the GOAL and BOOST neurodivergent learning programs annually.
The combination of King’s InterHigh’s long-standing and highly developed online learning methods with Inspired’s track record of improving academic outcomes will provide USPA families with an enhanced online school experience. USPA, in turn, brings proven approaches to Inspired that will enhance the experience for our families and open opportunities for more elite student athletes globally to study online while pursuing their sport.
With Inspired’s international expertise, USPA families will benefit from opportunities for collaborative learning, discussion, debate, and interaction with others as part of Inspired Education globally. USPA students will have access to Inspired’s 119 premium schools worldwide, including in the UK, and can participate in global exchanges and summer camps.
