The acquisition represents a further extension of Inspired’s leadership in the online school space after the successful acquisition of Wey Education (the previous owners of online school King’s InterHigh) in May 2021.
My Online Schooling is the second largest school in the online British curriculum space after King’s InterHigh. The school was founded in 2016 by former teacher (at an Inspired school in New Zealand), Tom Crombie, and provides an interactive, British online education to students in over 80 nations. The accredited Cambridge International school was founded on the values of inclusion and innovation and has developed over the past few years to become one of the leading British online schools.
The combination of King’s InterHigh’s long-standing and highly developed online learning methods together with Inspired’s track record of improving academic outcomes, will provide My Online Schooling families with a stronger overall online school experience. My Online Schooling, in turn, brings different and proven approaches to Inspired that will be deployed to improve the experience for all families at Inspired Online Schools.
Together with Inspired’s global footprint and expertise, My Online Schooling families will benefit from opportunities for collaborative learning, discussion, debate and interaction with others as part of Inspired Online Schools. For example, My Online Schooling students will be able to spend time in any of Inspired’s 83 premium schools, including in the UK, and will have access to a global community across the entire Inspired group. Students can also take part in global events such as Model United Nations, Student Leadership Conferences and Inspired partnerships across the globe. In addition, King’s InterHigh has proven its capability to deliver effective and personalised online education using the best technology solutions for students and teachers. This includes pioneering approaches in the use of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence in learning, as well as the launch of the world’s first fully online International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The acquisition of My Online Schooling not only extends the leadership position of Inspired in the online school space but also fosters improved experiences and outcomes for the international learning community at Inspired’s online and physical schools.
Nadim Nsouli, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Inspired, said: “Inspired has grown to become the leading global group of premium schools by acquiring successful schools around the world and building state of the art schools from the ground up. With the acquisition of My Online Schooling, Inspired is expanding its online offering and extending our leadership position in the online school space. We are the only global premium group capable of offering access to physical schools on five continents, a hybrid physical and online offering as well as a fully online offering. We welcome the families, students and teachers of My Online Schooling to our group.”
Tom Crombie, CEO of My Online Schooling, said: “We are proud to provide new opportunities for My Online Schooling students to learn and thrive. I am looking forward to working with colleagues at Inspired and King’s InterHigh in the next phase of growth in the online schooling sector. Mark O’Donoghue, CEO Inspired Online Schools, said: “The coming together of My Online Schooling and Inspired represents a major step forward for teaching and learning in the 21st century. My Online Schooling is the second largest player in online British curriculum school after King’s InterHigh and we believe that the proposition for families can be enhanced with some of Inspired’s proprietary approaches to learning, bespoke technology platforms and continued care for the whole child. We are very excited to be working with Tom Crombie who has built My Online Schooling from the ground up.”
