Online K-12 school, King’s InterHigh – part of Inspired Education Group – has expanded its global footprint by introducing a brand-new learning programme for students based on a US high school curriculum, delivered across East and West Coast time zones.

Available from August 2025, King’s InterHigh USA will bring students a holistic learning experience, combining live online lessons and real-time virtual class interaction; comprehensive educational experiences; an online campus for peers to connect; and in-person events, extra-curricular activities, and travel learning opportunities across the US and globally.

Nadim M Nsouli, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Inspired, commented, “Inspired Education is comprised of the best schools in the world including the leading online school, King’s InterHigh which offers the UK curriculum and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program around the world to more than 8,000 online students. King’s InterHigh will now enter the US with a premier American college-preparatory education. With more than 20 years’ experience in online education, and more than 12,500 alumni globally, King’s InterHigh USA builds on the school’s strong foundations, offering greater choice and flexibility for students around the world.”

Operating across multiple time zones, spanning the UK and Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia - and now East and West Coasts – provides further opportunities for US-based students, or those internationally seeking a US college-preparatory online experience. The school will be led by Dr. Aileen Hawkins, an educator and leader with more than two decades of experience. Aileen brings a wealth of knowledge in curriculum and instruction and school operations, having previously ran a leading online US school and a variety of K-12 settings. The school’s curriculum will cover a wide range of subjects and core academic courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) opportunities approved by the NCAA and University of California system. Taught by US and internationally qualified teachers, King’s InterHigh USA will enable a pathway that prepares students to reach their college and career goals through live online classes. Students also have 24/7 access to class recordings to revisit content and review lessons in their own time, and at their own pace – providing greater flexibility and accessibility options.

Aileen Hawkins, Head of School for King’s InterHigh USA, said, “We are thrilled to launch King’s InterHigh USA. Our online program celebrates and supports the uniqueness of every student and honours different learning preferences, needs, interests, and aspirations. Our goal is to empower students to take control of their education and thrive. By offering a US curriculum alongside a British curriculum and the world’s first fully online International Baccalaureate Diploma, we’re able to reach more students, offer more choice, and develop well-rounded, future-ready individuals who can achieve their goals at college and beyond. We’re looking forward to opening our virtual doors and welcoming more students into our innovative, diverse and welcoming school community.”

King’s InterHigh USA will be open for enrolment all year round. Online classes will commence in August 2025, beginning with grades 6-10. The school will grow to include primary school through twelfth grade in the future.
