The rankings highlight the consistently high standards and educational excellence delivered across Inspired’s schools in Spain.
Best in Class – Colegios Ramón y Cajal
Leading the list is Colegios Ramón y Cajal, named the top school in Spain with an outstanding score of 97 out of 100 across 28 evaluation criteria. Based in Madrid and founded in 1961, Ramón y Cajal is widely recognised for its innovative academic offering, exceptional facilities and commitment to a forward-thinking, personalised approach to learning that supports each pupil’s development.
As Nadim Nsouli, CEO and Founder of Inspired Education, explains:
“What makes our schools special is the balance we create between strong academic foundations and opportunities in sport and the arts. When pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves intellectually, physically and creatively, they grow into confident young people who are prepared to succeed anywhere in the world.”
A Strong Presence in Madrid
Inspired’s strength is further reflected in Madrid, where three of the top five private schools are part of the Inspired family. Alongside Ramón y Cajal in first place, San Patricio ranked third – marking its 21st year in the top five – while Mirabal secured fifth place.
While each school retains its own identity and heritage, this collective success demonstrates the strength of collaboration across the Inspired network. It also reflects how a shared educational philosophy can deliver consistently high outcomes across schools with distinct cultures and approaches.
Success in Barcelona and Beyond
Beyond the capital, Inspired schools also performed strongly in Barcelona and Ibiza. In Barcelona, La Miranda was ranked second in El Mundo’s list of the city’s top private schools. Founded in 1967, the school is known for its innovative use of technology and forward-thinking teaching methods.
As one of a small number of Apple Distinguished schools in Spain, La Miranda continues to lead in digital innovation and educational leadership. Its pupils consistently achieve strong academic outcomes, including high rates of admission to leading universities worldwide.
In Ibiza, Colegio Mestral was named the island’s top school. Its emphasis on personalised learning – recognising and supporting each pupil’s individual strengths – closely reflects the wider educational approach seen across Inspired schools.
King’s College School and Kensington School
Inspired’s presence was further reinforced in the ranking of Madrid’s top British schools, where both King’s College School and Kensington School secured places in the top five.
These multilingual environments exemplify Inspired’s three pillars of education: academic excellence, sport, and the performing and creative arts. With strong academic programmes, high-quality facilities and dynamic learning environments, they provide pupils with a well-rounded and holistic education.
As Elena Benito, CEO of Inspired Education in Spain, says:
“Together, these results underline the strength and consistency of Inspired’s group of Spanish schools. From Madrid to Barcelona and beyond, each school combines its own character with a shared commitment to excellence, ensuring pupils benefit from a high-quality, well-rounded education that prepares them for success on a global stage.”
