We operate numerous affiliated schools globally by our local offices in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

We are committed to complying with the legal obligations stated in the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), alongside the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the corresponding local data protection regulations applicable in all of our Schools, whenever collecting, processing and storing personal data for our own purposes.
This privacy notice provides information about how we process the personal information we receive from you.

2. TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS

The concept “personal data” refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual. We collect and process personal data about you through our online application forms for Inspired Global Exchanges Programs’ request form and Summer Camps Enquiry Form as well as through our online New Student Enquiry Form. We also process data from candidates that want to be part of our Global Careers Site.

The type of information we collect and process about you includes parents, students and employment applicants’ identification and contact details, age, location, current school, preferences, professional background, and any other information you want to share with us. In the case of employment applicants, we may also collect sensitive data related health.

All data related to customers and prospective customers, students and prospective students, parents and / or legal guardians, vacancies and job applicants, employees, suppliers, contractors and other parties that are directly related to our affiliated Schools are collected and processed by such affiliated Schools within the systems and procedures controlled by each of them and under compliance of their respective local regulations. We also collect information of your visit to our website including, but not limited to, your browsing behavior, time of visit, and location.

You could also be profiled considering your location, age, preference and educational background for the purpose to attend your enquiry properly.

As a Group of companies, we also process internal corporative information from our affiliated Schools and entities regarding business activities, staff, suppliers, contractors and other operational matters in order to provide support with those subjects.

3. LAWFUL BASIS

The lawful basis to collect and process your data through our website is your consent and our legitimate interest to attend your request in addition to provide you information about our Schools and our educational and employment opportunities.

4. PURPOSES FOR WHICH WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA

Inspired collects and processes personal data to:

  • Attend your queries;
  • Send information to the appropriated affiliated Schools according to your query;
  • Manage your employment application;
  • Fulfil legal requirements;
  • Maintain the coordination and management of the Schools and entities that are part of Inspired Education Group;

5. HOW WE COLLECT AND PROCESS PERSONAL DATA

Inspired Education Group collects information through online application forms, directly by the data subjects or from their legal representatives, as well as from publicly available resources such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn which provide information of individuals who we reasonably believe may have an interest in our services.

6. SHARING YOUR DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

In the context of the purposes listed above, the personal data that you provide to us will be disclosed to our affiliated Schools and / or entities for the purposes mentioned herein.

We also may be lawfully required to share personal information with relevant authorities, or third parties as permitted on statutory grounds, to comply with a legal requirement or where Inspired has received specific consent from the individual concerned.

The information you provide to us will be kept confidential and will not be rented nor sold to third parties under any circumstances.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

The affiliated Schools to whom we may disclose your personal data may be located in countries outside of the United Kingdom and European Union, including countries which may offer a lower level of data protection. In such cases, we will proceed under the UK and EU ‘adequacy regulations’ and implement UK GDPR and EU GDPR appropriate safeguards to ensure adequate protection of your personal data.

8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA

We retain personal data only for legitimate and lawful purposes, and only for so long as necessary to comply with the purpose or required by law. 9. YOUR RIGHTS

10. MINORS

We will not collect and / or process information from individuals under 13 years old. Consent from parents or legal representatives will always be required.

11. GLOBAL CAREERS SITE MANAGEMENT

11.1. Types of data: Inspired Education Group globally manages through this website the selection processes of all the affiliated Schools and / or business units (also referred as “employers” or “entities”) in the employment opportunities of the registered users in our Careers section (“Global Careers Site”).

To make the most of our Global Careers Site, you will need to register as a user. Candidates who register in our site must provide us with their personal and professional data so that it’s possible to be able to use all its functionalities such as applying for jobs and subscribing to our job alerts. Sensitive data related to health will also be required.

Your data will be processed by Inspired Education Group as the data controller. The data we need, to consider your candidacy are:

  • Identification (name, surname, identification number, nationality, language, location);
  • Contact information (postal address, email, contact telephone number);
  • Family details (children, marital status)
  • Professional preferences (relocation and position)
  • Professional background, referees and work legal authorisation;
  • Sensitive data (disability or other health related matter);
  • Academic and educational information (qualifications, degrees and training);
  • Criminal record / police check status;
  • We can also obtain your information by our website cookies.

You could also be profiled considering your professional background, training, location and preferences in order to receive the job alerts.

11.2. Lawful basis: The legitimacy for the collection and processing of your data, as well to receive job alerts is your consent. In addition, we collect the necessary data on our legitimate interest to cover a position through the job application as well as to pursue the purposes stated below.

11.3 Purposes for processing your data: We process your data with the aim to include your candidacy in the selection processes and to cover the position. We also need to meet our legal, contractual, or regulatory responsibilities, such as disclosures to authorities, regulators or government bodies.

11.4. Sharing your data with third parties: To fulfil the purposes indicated above, it is necessary that other companies or individuals can access to your data to perform certain functions on our behalf. These third parties include human resources departments of Inspired Education Group affiliated Schools and business units to which you have applied your candidacy, public authorities if we are legally required, law enforcement authorities, courts and regulatory authorities, IT consultants and outsourced IT services, providers of professional services as well as marketing technology platforms and suppliers, who will only have access to your personal information if they need it to perform their functions and may not use your personal information for any other purpose. These recipients are subject to confidentiality commitment and data protection obligations.

We may also disclose your personal data to third parties when necessary to obtain references about you from those third parties if required within the scope of the selection process.

You should also consider the privacy policy and the applicable local data protection regulations corresponding to the country of the employer to which you register your application.

11.5. International data transfer: Your employment data will be stored in UK. Your application could require that we transfer your information between and within Inspired Education Group’s entities established in other countries outside UK and European Economic Area that may not provide an adequate level of protection. Your data will be directly processed and stored locally by these business units or schools for the purpose of directly managing such selection processes. Such transfer will be carried out under the necessary measures to guarantee adequate protection of your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

11.6. Data retention periods: The period of conservation of your data will depend on the purposes for which we process them. We will keep your data for as long as you keep your account active or until you withdraw your consent for the processing of your data.

We have adopted all necessary technical and organisational means in order to endeavour to ensure the confidentiality, security and integrity of personal data, as well as to avoid any loss, alteration, destruction and/or access by unauthorised third parties.
